To configure basic profile settings for ThinOS which settings :
- Upload the basic staff include :
- Wallpaper
- Firmware
- Logo
The procedure :
- Navigate to the WMS URL (https://Server address/ccm-web/)
- Go to Apps & Data and in the down left select File repository
- Add files
- Note before you upload files note that we can upload
However in our case we will upload :
- the wallpaper image files
(PNG, x-png, jpg, jpeg ,gif, bmp, jpg, jpeg) maximum size of 20mb
- logo size (The recommended size is 360W x 100H pix) mazimum100 KB (jpeg) maximum size of 100kb
for any upload you need to specific file name ,type and description
for logo
I will do same for wallpaper for
- after that we need to upload the required firmware or bios or both
- get the required firmware file from dell or use my blog to learn ow to get it in the previous post
- from the same list , go to “Os Image Repository” and select ThinOS
- select add firmware or add bios , then upload the file
- with these file we can proceed to configure the profile , go to “Groups & Configs” to edit the default policy
- From right select Edit police “ and select thin OS
- The below windows will show
- The easy way to go with Wizard , select it and go through it
- Select setting to be configured and select next
- In page 3 “Setup Visual Experience” under wallpaper file , select the file just uploaded in point #5
- Same thing for company logo field in the same page
- In page “Setup General Settings” configure the firmware upgrade
- At the end save and publish
- Be sure to configure DNS and DHCP as explained before so thin client will connect automatically to WMS
